Dragon Bracers

These fantasy-inspired bracers are an exercise in leather sculpting and modeling. The central element in each is a hand-embossed dragon wing set against a scale texture, where volume has been worked from the inside and surface detail added with engraving tools to achieve an organic and imposing texture.

The edges have been beveled and burnished to ensure comfort during use, incorporating brass buckles that reinforce the piece's medieval style.

The chromatic finish was achieved through a combination of dyes, paints, and shoe polishes, which highlight the wing's shape and the scale pattern, creating a deep contrast that brings the creature to life. A project that combines technical saddlery with artistic illustration.
