Amateur leatherworker

Artisan leather crafter focused on creating functional objects where technical precision and artistic experimentation go hand in hand. Based in the Basque Country, I design durable pieces meant to improve with use and the passage of time.

My journey in leather crafting began in 2024, after enrolling in a course at a community center in Barakaldo. What started as a curiosity quickly transformed into a passionate hobby that allows me to disconnect from the digital world and work with my hands. Since that first project—a simple valet tray that I still keep—I have discovered in leather a unique language to imagine, design, and build objects that combine utility and beauty.

As a software development professional, I bring my technical mindset to the workshop: I am fascinated by the architecture of patterns, the millimeter precision of stitching, and the challenge of optimizing every design. For me, working with leather is a constant learning process, where each piece is an opportunity to experiment with new techniques, from artistic soap bubble dyeing to complex marquetry assembly.

My goal with this portfolio is to show the evolution of my work, where the durability of the material and attention to detail take center stage. Every item I design is intended not only to be functional but to become a piece with its own story that improves through years of daily use.
