This pen holder is an exercise in functional redesign using everyday objects. It is a metal tin can transformed by a complete leather lining, ideal for organizing pencils or workshop tools.

The project evolved from an initial prototype to this final version, which completely covers both the interior and the base, removing any trace of the original metal. The various leather pieces are joined with exposed hand-stitching, which not only secures the structure but also provides a robust, handcrafted aesthetic detail.

The result is a desk accessory that combines the rigidity of metal with the warmth and feel of leather, turning waste into a durable and elegant object.
